I'm exploring backlit environments with my cell phone camera. This was taken about 3pm and the light is coming from the south which is stronger than northlight. I use the night scene function all the time which slows the shutter speed. The lights were off in the room so there wasn't enough reflected light.

This was taken in the middle of the day with the exposure dimmed a little. It looks like a real-photo postcard. I'm thinking of doing a series of these: "Welcome to Safeway" "Dining Area at Denney's" "Biggest Dollar Store in the Bay Area"

Ganesh is the remover of obstacles and he guards my little porch. So far he has removed every impediment in the way of every mosquito, ant, fly and spider in the vicinity. They flock here to worship their god and feast on my cat's food.

I drove a party to a restaurant on a hillside that overlooks the village and the bay. Stairs wind down to the multi-level dining areas. The steps and paths are verdant with ferns and little waterfalls.

There is also a tram that ascends and descends the steep hillside.
